Unique Interior Design of Laax Rocks Resort

As the name implies Rock Resort is a cube-shaped Residences made of rough stone. The building is located in the laak city Switzerland and suitable for stay in the winter. Although the building is simple but has a good interior design and for the future will be built shoping center, restaurant and bar. The interiors of the two- and four-bedroom apartments echo the clean lines of the consciously minimalist exteriors. Natural materials from the local region are used throughout the apartments to create a warm and inviting atmosphere and light colours create a pleasant contrast.

Mystery Artist Gehard Demetz Wooden Sculptures

The only things known about artist Gehard Demetz are that he was born in 1972 in Italy, he currently resides in the mountains of Selva Gardena, and that he makes absolutely amazing wooden sculptures. His
subjects are children who stand with stern faces, but childlike innocence as they hold out various objects at arms length towards the viewer, or pout with dunce caps on. The only color is in the objects they interact with, and the emotional content is as vague and mysterious as the artist himself.

Kengo Kuma Designs The Great (Bamboo) Wall House in China

The Great (Bamboo) Wall House illustrates a stark difference from the Great Wall through its medium. Architect Kengo Kuma chose bamboo for its weakness compared to brick and stone. The material allows both light and wind to pass through and creates a meditative atmosphere – transient and dependent on the changes in the outside weather. Kuma also chose to leave the natural conditions of the landscape instead of starting on flat land, and he used locally produced materials wherever he could. The bamboo is a symbol of cultural exchange between Japan and China, which fits since Kuma is a Japanese architect and the home was built in the Chinese mainland.
